​Welcome to The Dog and Gun Inn Skelton, owned and run by the Queen-Fryer family since 2017.

Our outlook is simple; we buy good-quality ingredients, cook them with care and a little bit of technique, and serve in a warm, comfortable and laid-back environment.

​The principal ingredients for every dish are sourced within Cumbria, from suppliers we have long-standing relationships with.

​Lamb from literally the next village (Ellonby), fish landed at the closest dock in Maryport, cheese from Torpenhow and organic yoghurt from Slackhouse Farm, near Birdoswald. We also go as far as the South Lakes, for our Lyth Valley damsons and Cartmel Valley venison.
